On August 14, the Ultimate Fighting Championship will make their debut in the state of Wisconsin when they showcase UFC Live on Versus 5: Hardy vs Lytle. The main event will pit two entertaining Welterweights in a bout where the winner may save their career and relevancy among fans, and the one on the losing end may be faced with termination from the promotion. The co-main event will pit two of the most entertaining Lightweights in a bout with possible title implications with one fighter riding a win streak many feel should have earned him a title shot long before this, and the other a former WEC champion looking to claim a bigger title. The midway bout will also pit two entertaining Lightweights with egos to match their skill levels in a bout where both came in as substitutes for injured fighters and ended up against each other.
(We will only be previewing the Main Card bouts with Hardy/Lytle, Miller/Henderson, & Oliveira/Cerrone)
Main Card Bouts:
Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy (23-9-0(1)) vs Chris "Lights Out" Lytle (30-18-5)

We have been trying to promote individual scoring among MMA fans when watching fights. We want fans to put themselves in a judges position and score fights honestly and unbiased. We want fans to understand the "10-point must" scoring system that is used under the unified rules of combat that are in place to regulate MMA.With many draws, split decisions, and questionable results that quickly gather criticism of judges and the scoring system, we want fans to give honest scores that include 10-10, 10-8, and even 10-7 scores. Overeem Dropped From Strikeforce After Refusing to Continue in Tournament
After only fighting three times in the promotion over almost four years, reigning Heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem's contract with Strikeforce has been terminated with only one fight left on his contract. This news comes after Overeem was eliminated from the Strikeforce World Heavyweight Grand Prix for refusing to compete on the date assigned by Showtime for the semifinals in the tournament. Conflicting stories came from both parties after Overeem went on the The MMA Hour and stated that he was told originally that the actual date for the event would be in October, and also stated that he would need the extra month to prepare. Overeem also stated that he was "threatened" by Zuffa, the new owners of Strikeforce, with contract termination if he refused to compete on the assigned date to continue in the tournament. Following his refusal to compete on September 10, news broke that Overeem was pulled from the tournament and would be replaced in his semifinal bout by alternate Daniel Cormier, which was followed by much speculation on whether this meant he had also been released or whether this meant he was renegotiating with Zuffa to fight in the UFC. While speculation continued, news later broke that Overeem was scheduled to compete in October in an MMA bout for United Glory in Moscow, Russia. All speculation has ended now with official news that he is now completely dropped from Strikeforce and Zuffa.

"Hurricane" Coming to Dream! Former UFC Fighter Harris Signs With Japanese Promotion
Former TUF7 competitor and former UFC fighter Gerald "Hurricane" Harris (18-4-0) has signed a multi-fight deal with leading Japanese MMA promotion Dream. Harris is known by casual fans for a Rnd3 knockout win at UFC 116: Lesnar vs Carwin where he slammed Dave Branch knocking him out. To many die hard MMA fans, Harris is recognized as a fighter who may have been unjustly cut from the UFC after his Unanimous Decision loss to Maiquel Falcao at UFC 123: Rampage vs Machida. As is the usual policy in the UFC, losing two or three fights straight is usually the cause of being cut from the promotion, but this was not the case as Harris' loss to Falcao had just snapped a ten fight win streak. Since his release from the UFC, Harris has gone 1-1 and is expected to make his promotional debut for Dream sometime in September, though the event has not been officially announced and there has been no opponent named. Always fan friendly and personal story about how he lost his brother in a motorcycle accident, Harris has loyal fan base and may very well have more fans waiting to see him fight in Japan.

UFC 133 Has Taken Yet Another Hit-Sakara Injured With Torn ACL; Rivera In Need Of Replacement
“Third time’s the charm” will not be the case for the scheduled Middleweight bout between hard hitting Middleweights Jorge Rivera and Alessio Sakara. After being scheduled to fight at UFC 118, Rivera injured his arm in training and was forced to withdraw from the bout and Sakara was forced off the card later on with his own injury. The rescheduling of the bout had the two fighters set to compete at UFC 122 in Germany, but just hours before the event Sakara began vomiting cancelled immediately. The third time was scheduled for the upcoming UFC 133 card with the two fighters expected to be contenders for Fight of the Night, though that seems to have changed yet again. On Monday July 25, news broke that Sakara had suffered a torn ACL and will have to be forced out of the bout and off an already injury plagued card. The UFC will look for a suitable replacement on less than two weeks notice, though finding another fighter that can live up to the hype of the original bout may not happen. Stepping in as a late replacement on short notice for the second time in a row will be Constantinos Philippou, who was originally scheduled to take on Rafael Natal in the Preliminary card.
UFC 133 has suffered multiple lineup changes on the main card alone. In the main event, former Light Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans was set to take on top undefeated prospect and former 4x NCAA1 All-American collegiate wrestler Phil Davis. Just a few weeks from the bout, Davis suffered a knee injury that would prohibit him from practicing kickboxing properly and therefore would not be fully prepared for the fight. The UFC made the decision to have Davis pulled from the bout, and after former division champion Lyoto Machida agreed to take the fight on short notice, he was turned down after asking for equal payment than that of his training partner and longtime undefeated Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. After that, fellow former division champion Tito Ortiz called and offered to step in on late notice having coming off a career saving upset win at UFC 132 just a month before this upcoming event. Following this switch the co-main event suffered a setback when former PrideFC star Antonio Rogerio Nogueira was injured during training and no suitable replacement could be found in time a such a high profile bout, and therefore his opponent and former Middleweight champion Rich Franklin opted to pull out of the card completely, which prompted the UFC to promote the midway bout between former Light Heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort and Japanese MMA star Yoshihiro Akiyama to so-main event. This also prompted the UFC to promote the Welterweight bout between experienced veterans Brian Ebersole and Denis Hallman from the preliminary card to fill in as the midway bout on the main card. The free televised SpikeTV Preliminary card also suffered a setback after former Light Heavyweight contender Vladimir Matyushenko was injured while training for his bout against Alexander Gustafsson; and this happened after UFC President Dana White stated that Matyushenko was the last choice on his list to replace Davis against Evans in the main event. Stepping up to take Matyushenko’s place will be former TUF3 alumni Matt Hamill. These multiple mishaps have made fans specultate that this card is cursed, and coincidentally the same mishaps happened to UFC 108 where Evans headlined the event.
