With Calmer Business Reconciliations UFC May Be Signing Alistair Overeem

Following the release of Strikeforce Heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem and his expulsion from the still ongoing Heavyweight Grand Prix, there were questions on what caused the fallout between Zuffa and his camp Golden Glory, and where would the Dutch fighter end up in his career. As part of the recent statements made by Golden Glory on the multiple terminations of their fighters from their contracts with Zuffa, they acknowledged a conflict in how some fighters are paid or how their pay is distributed to a fighter and their management. Golden Glory stated that any misunderstanding or policies that Zuffa enforces or is upheld to is understandable and that they are willing to comply with those policies. With that, Golden Glory is now looking to finally have their leading star in Alistair Overeem sign to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. With hype still following Overeem from his success winning the K-1 2010 World Grand Prix, he is seen as an elite striker that many feel has deserved a shot at the elite in the UFC. With Strikeforce slowly dissolving having much of their original employees terminated and technically having only three champions standing, many were expecting the winner of the Heavyweight tournament to automatically fight for the UFC division title, and Overeem was the overall favorite to win the tournament. With Overeem out of Strikeforce at this time and still technically considered the promotion's Heavyweight champion, some analysts feel that should he be signed to the UFC, that he should automatically be declared the #1 contender, seeing that at this time there has been no official announcement on who will fight the winner between reigning champion Cain Velasquez and current #1 contender Junior dos Santos. With die hard UFC fans not paying much attention at all to other promotions, would it be the best plan to bring Overeem in and automatically establish him as the #1 contender?

Personal MMA Fan HQ "UNOFFICIAL" Scoring For "UFC Live On Versus 5: Hardy vs Lytle" Main Card Bouts

We have been trying to promote individual scoring among MMA fans when watching fights. We want fans to put themselves in a judges position and score fights honestly and unbiased. We want fans to understand the "10-point must" scoring system that is used under the unified rules of combat that are in place to regulate MMA.With many draws, split decisions, and questionable results that quickly gather criticism of judges and the scoring system, we want fans to give honest scores that include 10-10, 10-8, and even 10-7 scores. If we want MMA to be recognized legitimately as a true sport, then we must become true legitimate fans in the process.
